BGS Helps Cathay Pacific’s Beijing Hub Rise in Global Rankings
In early March, Cathay Pacific’s Beijing station climbed from 10th to 8th place in the 2011 Global Airport Performance Rankings, marking its best-ever result since Cathay Pacific began serving Beijing in 2003 and BGS took over agency services. Cathay Pacific attributes this achievement entirely to all departments within BGS responsible for its operations. Cathay Pacific operates a total of 49 stations worldwide, and the airport rankings cover multiple aspects including passenger services, on-time performance, baggage handling accuracy, and operational safety. It is extremely challenging to rank among the global top 10 in such a fiercely competitive environment. During its agency tenure, BGS has helped Cathay Pacific’s Beijing station secure 9th and 10th places once each. In 2011, BGS’s successful contribution to elevating the Beijing station to 8th place globally filled the station with great joy. The airline expressed its gratitude to all BGS staff involved in operating its flights. Facing these new achievements, BGS will encounter fresh challenges in 2012. Not only will airport standards continue to rise, but starting March 25 with the onset of summer schedules, Cathay Pacific will add one additional flight per week. To maintain its goal of ranking among the global top 10 in 2012, BGS and Cathay Pacific’s Beijing station must work closely together and keep up their efforts.
