Jetstar Airlines Successfully Completes Its First Flight to Beijing BGS Completes First Flight Support for Its 10th Customer in 2011
At the end of 2011, Jetstar Airways Co., Ltd. (code JQ, hereinafter referred to as Jetstar) flight JQ7 landed at Beijing Capital International Airport, marking the arrival of BGS’s 52nd customer. Jetstar was the 10th new airline customer added by BGS in 2011. Compared with flights operated by other airlines represented by BGS, Jetstar has significant differences in its operational procedures: it has unique regulations for the carriage of electric wheelchairs, requiring them to be packed separately and secured in multiple directions; it introduced a new requirement that BGS staff must operate the trash-compartment flaps during cabin cleaning; at Beijing Capital International Airport, Jetstar uses its own check-in operating system, so BGS check-in agents need to quickly learn and become familiar with this system; passenger and cargo services are handled separately by BGS or another company, and close information exchange between the two companies is essential during operations. Relying on its high-quality service standards, extensive operational experience, and highly responsible attitude toward customers, BGS efficiently and promptly completed the support work for Jetstar’s inaugural flight, earning high praise from Jetstar’s Beijing terminal representative.

It is reported that the Beijing/Singapore/Melbourne round-trip route recently launched by Jetstar is its ninth route in China. The flights will be operated using Boeing A330-200 aircraft, with one flight daily. The departure time from Capital International Airport is 2:50 a.m.
