The signing ceremony for the BGS joint venture contract was held successfully.

On October 28, 2011, the signing ceremony for Beijing Airport Ground Services Co., Ltd. (BGS)—a joint venture established through the joint investment of China Southern Airlines, China Eastern Airlines, Singapore’s SATS Group, and Capital Airport Group—was held successfully. Attending the signing ceremony were Zhou Laizhen, Director of the Financial Department of the Civil Aviation Administration; Qin Zhanggao, Director of the Airport Department; Si Xianmin, General Manager of China Southern Airlines Group; Liu Shaoyong, General Manager of China Eastern Airlines Group; Chen Quanlai, Acting President of SATS; and Dong Zhiyi, General Manager of Capital Airport Group. The signing ceremony was presided over by Liu Yanbin, Secretary of the Party Leadership Group of Capital Airport Group.

At the ceremony, leaders from the four parties jointly unveiled a crystal ball, symbolizing the dawn of a new era for the joint venture. Representatives from the four parties signed the joint venture contract, marking the official establishment of the new ground handling services company (BGS), which is jointly invested in and established by China Southern Airlines, China Eastern Airlines, SATS, and Capital Airport Group.
