To further strengthen ideological development and fully draw on the truth and practical power of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, on September 29, the Party Committee of BGS held a special training workshop on Volume IV of "Xi Jinping: The Governance of China," along with an expanded study session for the Party Committee’s theoretical study group. In line with epidemic prevention and control requirements, this training workshop was conducted via online learning. A total of 39 participants—including members of the Party Committee leadership team, directors, and mid-level managers—attended the session.
This training session featured a lecture by Professor Huang Dong, Associate Dean of the School of Marxism at China University of Political Science and Law. Professor Huang provided an insightful overview of Volume IV of "Xi Jinping: The Governance of China," highlighting its significance and key points. He emphasized the core contents of Volume IV through the "Six Judgments" and the "Ten Clarifications," and offered specific guidance on how to study and apply Volume IV effectively. In addition, Professor Huang skillfully connected the concept of the rule of law with the "Administrative Measures for Compliance Management of Central Enterprises," clearly and comprehensively explaining the importance and necessity of governing enterprises according to law. This provided valuable theoretical support for the company to enhance its level of corporate governance based on the rule of law and strengthen compliance management.
Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman Lü Haifeng pointed out that the content of this lecture is rich, profoundly meaningful, and highly instructive. It provides great inspiration for understanding and grasping the rich implications of Volume Four and for guiding specific work. All levels of management personnel should further strengthen their theoretical training, consistently using Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era to fortify their minds and guide their practice. In the course of the company’s reform and development, they must continue to emancipate their minds, uphold core principles while fostering innovation, and pool together powerful forces for the company’s high-quality development.
Lü Haifeng emphasized that, in the face of the upcoming critical security tasks for the 20th National Congress, managers at all levels must clearly uphold political principles, firmly safeguard the political integrity, and perform all tasks with solid political qualities. First, we must steadfastly uphold our Party spirit, strengthen our Party cultivation, and keep in mind “the interests of the nation above all else.” By remaining firm in our ideals and convictions, enhancing our Party spirit, and improving our work style, we can continuously maintain our political character of loyalty, integrity, and responsibility. Second, we must deeply understand that winning the hearts and minds of the people is the greatest form of politics; accordingly, we should further refine our working methods, firmly establish a mass perspective, and thoroughly implement the mass line. Third, we must carry forward the spirit of struggle, bravely confront difficulties, constantly enhance our ability to struggle, and effectively prevent and resolve major risks.
General Manager and Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Zhang Hongkong, pointed out that managers at all levels should use this study session as an opportunity to better guide their practical work, elevate their political awareness, and make every effort to ensure the successful completion of major safeguarding tasks. First, we must thoroughly study and implement the Overall National Security Concept, continuously strengthening our security systems and capacity-building efforts. Second, we need to strike a balance between security and development—using security to promote development and using development to ensure security. Third, we must enhance our awareness of both opportunities and risks, and be fully prepared to respond to challenges and risks of any kind. At the same time, managers at all levels should coordinate security measures with epidemic prevention and control efforts, deeply recognizing the complexity, arduousness, and recurring nature of current domestic and international epidemic prevention and control. We must firmly resist any complacency or slackening of vigilance, enforce responsibilities rigorously, and ensure strict compliance with directives. In particular, Party members and cadres should set a good example, lead Party members in guiding the public to effectively manage activities outside working hours, and resolutely uphold the bottom line of epidemic prevention and control.
Shi Yuhong, a member of the Party Committee and Deputy General Manager, pointed out that managers at all levels should, in light of this study, further recognize the importance and inevitability of promoting comprehensive law-based management within the enterprise, as well as the significance of compliance management. They should continuously strengthen their compliance mindset during the learning process, firmly establish compliance awareness, risk awareness, and bottom-line awareness, and constantly enhance their voluntary compliance through measures such as streamlining the institutional framework, conducting daily supervision over the implementation of these systems, and actively promoting and communicating the relevant regulations. They must also steadfastly uphold the risk bottom line. At the same time, in conjunction with the key security tasks for the 20th National Congress, she provided work guidance, urging the relevant departments to make thorough preparations across the board, leverage their service advantages effectively, and develop robust emergency response plans.
At the meeting, participants unanimously praised the lecture as vivid, engaging, and highly beneficial, and they engaged in lively exchanges and discussions based on their learning outcomes. Mid-level managers attending the meeting stated that they would continue to delve deeper into Volume IV of "Xi Jinping: The Governance of China," firmly using the Party’s theories to fortify their minds and guide their practice. They pledged to constantly enhance their sense of identity, remain committed to self-criticism and self-reform, and adopt a rigorous, down-to-earth work attitude, a pragmatic and truth-seeking work style, and an energetic and proactive working spirit. By doing so, they will translate their learning achievements into concrete measures and tangible results that drive BGS’s high-quality development, and wholeheartedly fulfill all support tasks for the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China.
