To enhance the emergency response capabilities of BGS employees in handling network and data security incidents, BGS recently organized emergency response leaders from various operations and support departments to participate in an emergency training session and tabletop exercise on BGS network and data security incidents, held in Conference Room 1 at the International Cargo Terminal.

First, the Department of Science and Technology Information briefed all departments on the classification, grading, organizational structure, and response measures for cybersecurity and data security emergencies. The briefing covered specialized knowledge on relevant laws and regulations concerning network and data security, everyday security risks and threats, and preventive measures. Following this, a tabletop exercise was conducted, simulating a sudden network failure within the company’s premises that affected production and management systems, handheld device usage, and on-site flight support operations. The exercise focused on information dissemination, reporting procedures, and the first-level emergency response process for network and data security incidents. The exercise demonstrated that the emergency plan was closely aligned with actual operational practices and achieved the intended results.

This training and exercise have enhanced the familiarity of emergency response leaders from relevant departments with the implementation process of the contingency plans, verified the reasonableness and effectiveness of the emergency plans, and improved the emergency management capabilities and emergency response skills of the personnel involved. Moving forward, the Department of Science and Technology Information will continue to refine the details of the emergency plans in light of changes in business operations and the evolving situation, making every effort to ensure the secure and reliable operation of the company’s network security, data security, and all systems and equipment.
