To thoroughly implement the Civil Aviation Administration’s requirements for safety work and continuously enhance the level of safety management, Capital Airport Group, based on the key priorities for annual safety work and an analysis of the industry’s operational safety situation, held a competency competition for load planning positions from October 30 to November 2 at Baotou Airport in Inner Mongolia. The competition was themed “Prevent Hidden Loads, Strengthen Skills, Ensure Safety, and Promote Improvement.” Four BGS employees—Lu Huibing, Ai Tong, Hu Hao, and Cao Yanfang—participated in the competition.

It is reported that this competition consists of four major events: a written exam on business knowledge, manual cargo manifest drafting, hands-on computer-based assessment for trunk-line teams, and a comprehensive competency assessment. During the competition, BGS contestants demonstrated composure and precision in their operations. After several hours of intense competition, Cao Yanfang and Ai Tong won the “Individual All-Around Award” and were awarded the title of “Gold-Class Load Planner” by the Group. Cao Yanfang also took first place in the manual cargo manifest drafting event within the trunk-line team category. Furthermore, the BGS team achieved an outstanding first-place finish in the trunk-line team’s comprehensive competency assessment—a historic breakthrough in all previous Group skill competitions and contests the team has participated in.

Subsequently, the group company organized a conference for exchanging experiences in preventing hidden cargo. Attending the meeting were Zhang Hongkong, General Manager of BGS and Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, as well as the competitors and team leaders who had participated in the competition. At the meeting, Zhang Hongkong shared with the attendees—based on the company’s actual situation—tactical achievements including the “Three Data” principle, 40 standards for preventing hidden cargo, and rules for “volume-based loading,” focusing on three key areas: load planning, ensuring the accuracy of cargo data, and ground handling procedures. Specifically addressing the precision of cargo weights, he introduced methods such as “three weighings” and “three checks.” He also shared practical experience regarding consistent management of ground handling operations and aircraft loading manifests, emphasizing the importance of thoroughly unloading cargo and accurately loading it onto aircraft.

By participating in this exchange meeting on anti-covert-carrying measures and the competency competition for loading positions, BGS has further assessed its staff’s professional competence in loading operations, learned from others’ outstanding experiences and achievements, and laid a solid foundation for strengthening BGS’s protective network against covert carrying and firmly safeguarding flight safety in the future. Moving forward, BGS will take this exchange meeting and competency competition as a starting point, staying true to its original aspirations, remaining humble and avoiding complacency, continuously enhancing the professional skills of its employees, and making positive contributions to promoting the high-quality development of the Group company!
