To implement the Group’s overall work approach of “1-1-6-6” for cost reduction and efficiency enhancement, fully motivate cadres and employees to actively participate in cost-reduction and efficiency-improvement initiatives, successfully achieve the annual cost-reduction and efficiency-enhancement targets, and contribute to the Group’s high-quality development, BGS recently held a briefing session on the 2023 call for management case submissions related to cost reduction and efficiency enhancement.

At the meeting, the scope, content, work arrangements, requirements, and reward rules for this solicitation effort were introduced one by one. Special emphasis was placed on providing a detailed explanation—and illustrative examples—of the scope and content of the rationalization proposals, "golden ideas," and outstanding management cases being solicited. It was stressed that all submitted projects must meet the "four principles" for confirming cost-reduction and efficiency-enhancing initiatives: feasibility, profitability, sustainability, and absence of negative impacts. Additionally, the projects must adhere to the "five principles" for setting objectives: clarity, measurability, achievability, relevance, and verifiability. The meeting called upon all departments and offices to actively encourage their employees to participate in this initiative and to promote cross-departmental collaboration in developing case studies.

Next, the Finance Department will follow up weekly on the collection status of management cases and other materials from various departments and offices. We will actively implement the requirements set forth by the Group company regarding submitted materials, ensuring that this collection effort is completed with high quality and on time. We will also delve deeper into tapping the company’s potential and continue to push cost reduction and efficiency enhancement initiatives to new heights.
