In line with the company’s strategic development needs and its annual training plan, and closely aligned with the company’s core business objectives, the Training Department recently held the second session of the Ground Service Grand Lecture Series, themed “Financial Management for Non-Financial Personnel,” aimed at enhancing the business awareness and financial management skills of mid- and lower-level managers. The company’s General Manager and Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Zhang Hongkong, attended the training and delivered a concluding speech. Also in attendance were Li Hongwei, Deputy Head of the Group Corporation’s working team stationed at BGS; Wang Min, a member of the working team; Shi Yuhong, a member of the BGS Party Committee and Deputy General Manager; and Zhang Yichen, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Secretary of the Discipline Inspection Commission.

Zhang Hongkong fully endorsed this training session and, drawing on the course content, put forward three key requirements for the participating managers: First, as managers of enterprises or departments, it is essential to enhance financial knowledge and develop a financial mindset. This will help individuals and enterprises optimize investment decisions, reduce management risks, achieve financial value-added, and attain better economic and social benefits. Second, we must comprehensively strengthen corporate budget management around the “Four Precision” principles—careful cost control, continuous improvement, streamlined efficiency, and precise execution—and effectively implement measures to reduce costs and boost efficiency. By making rational use of various effective methods, we can improve the efficiency of capital utilization, effectively lower costs, enhance profitability, and promote the sustainable development of the enterprise. Third, we must foster a company-wide operational awareness, cultivate an operational culture and set of operational values within the organization, continuously inspire employees’ enthusiasm for operations, ensure that every employee understands and participates in business operations, and continually drive the company toward high-quality development.

It is reported that the training, guided by the principle of promoting learning through both internal and external exchanges, invited Ms. Zhang Liqun, an associate professor at the National Accounting Institute in Beijing, to deliver the course. The training focused on four key areas: digitalization and financial transformation, corporate cost management, comprehensive budgeting management, and basic financial management skills for non-financial personnel. In addition, the training incorporated case studies to help participants better understand the practical applications of management accounting in their daily work.

This training is an important initiative by BGS to enhance the job competency of management personnel, and also a concrete manifestation of the company’s commitment to talent development and team quality improvement.

More than 50 middle-level and some frontline managers participated.
