Recently, BGS successfully completed the replacement of core network equipment in its international data center. In response to the national call for domestic production, all the replaced equipment this time are domestically manufactured network devices.

During the core network switch replacement operation, BGS simultaneously updated the diagrams showing the interconnections between core switch ports and various devices, and standardized the labeling of device ports and their downstream connections. It is reported that the core network equipment serves as the “heart” of the company’s network—every access to information systems and internet connectivity must pass through this core network equipment. Upgrading the core equipment can significantly enhance network performance, enabling faster data transmission speeds, improved network stability, and enhanced security protection.

This time, the core network equipment underwent a seamless switchover, without the previous practice of interrupting services after prior notification to affected personnel. During the core equipment replacement process, no business disruptions occurred. The successful completion of this core network equipment switchover signifies a substantial enhancement in the company’s network operations and maintenance capabilities. The newly replaced core network equipment all support 10-gigabit network access and incorporate a variety of advanced security features, significantly boosting the company’s network performance and cybersecurity protection.
