This emergency drill was conducted in a tabletop simulation format, closely aligned with actual work scenarios. It simulated a sudden network failure or widespread system outage at the company, which would impact production, management systems, the use of handheld devices, and critical support operations. The drill demonstrated the process of information transmission, reporting, analysis, and handling, as well as the activation of relevant information-based emergency plans. For instance, in the event of network or system outages, employees can use DingTalk on their mobile phones or make phone calls for communication; handwritten records of business data can later be entered into the system. When handheld terminals in production systems cannot connect to the server, walkie-talkies can be used as a substitute to ensure the smooth operation of flights.
During the exercise summary discussion, the Central Operations Control Center and the Department of Science and Technology Information proposed that, in the event of an information-related emergency, the reporting procedures for network and system failures should run in parallel with the reporting procedures for business impact. The Central Operations Control Center and the Department of Science and Technology Information should coordinate and cooperate closely to minimize the impact of sudden information-related incidents on the company’s production and operations.
Through this exercise, the proficiency of information-related operations and maintenance personnel as well as emergency response leaders from various departments in initiating information-based emergency response procedures has been enhanced. The exercise has also helped to strengthen the psychological resilience of all participants, verified the rationality and effectiveness of the emergency response initiation process, and further explored skills and methods for rapidly restoring equipment to normal operation, thereby improving the ability of relevant personnel to handle information-related emergencies. Moving forward, the Department of Science and Technology Information will summarize the exercise results, further refine the emergency response drills and on-site handling plans for information-related sudden failures, and intensify reflective thinking in our daily work, thus laying an even stronger foundation for the safe operation of the company’s network, information systems, and equipment.
