6 On the 28th, BGS successfully completed the CEIV Pharma re-certification by the International Air Transport Association (IATA). This marks another recognition from IATA of BGS’s cold-chain capabilities, following its initial acquisition of IATA’s Pharma Standards certification three years ago.

2019 In August, BGS obtained IATA Pharmaceutical Standards Certification for the first time, becoming the second ground service agent in China to receive this certification. Over the following three years, BGS weathered the trials and tests of the pandemic, successfully completing major support missions such as the transportation of epidemic prevention supplies, the export of Chinese vaccines, and the Winter Olympics, earning high recognition and praise from all quarters.

BGS We attached great importance to this CEIV recertification effort and assigned dedicated personnel to meticulously verify each of the 250 questions under the 10 major categories outlined in the checklist. Due to the impact of the pandemic, IATA auditors were unable to conduct an on-site audit at the cargo terminal. As a result, this recertification process adopted a remote auditing approach. All materials required for the audit—such as manuals, operational records, warehouse areas, and facility equipment—had to be presented online. To prepare for this, the audit preparation team conducted multiple mock audits and online communication sessions in advance. Meanwhile, to better demonstrate to the auditors the entire operational chain for cold-chain pharmaceutical products—from their arrival and departure to their handling in the cold storage facilities—the Cargo Department carefully produced on-site operation videos accompanied by detailed explanations, thereby presenting the cold-chain pharmaceutical handling procedures in a more comprehensive and three-dimensional manner to the auditors. In summarizing the audit process, the IATA auditor expressed appreciation for BGS’s thorough preparations and acknowledged BGS’s strong capabilities in cold-chain logistics assurance.

This re-certification by IATA CEIV for pharmaceuticals not only recognizes BGS’s past achievements in cold-chain pharmaceutical logistics but also sets higher standards for our future cold-chain service provision. BGS will continue to enhance its capabilities in safeguarding cold-chain shipments, providing customers with safer, more reliable, and high-quality services.
