8 Moon 19 Day, BGS Conduct special training for newly promoted and transferred mid-level managers. BGS Party Secretary and Chairman Lü Haifeng delivered the opening address and gave the first lesson to the trainees.
Lü Haifeng pointed out that middle-level managers serve as both commanders and frontline fighters, acting as a vital bridge for communication between different levels—transmitting instructions from top to bottom and relaying feedback from bottom to top. They must not only accurately grasp and understand the spirit and requirements of their superiors and creatively carry out their work, but also effectively implement, execute, guide, and motivate their subordinates to ensure that all tasks are properly accomplished. As such, they are the cornerstone of the company’s safe and stable operation, the core source of improvement in business performance, and the backbone driving reform, development, and stability.
Lü Haifeng emphasized that newly promoted and transferred mid-level managers must quickly assume their new roles, familiarize themselves with their new tasks, hone their internal capabilities, and enhance their personal cultivation, thereby becoming high-quality cadres of the new era who are loyal, clean, responsible, and action-oriented. First, they must continuously enhance their political competence from five dimensions: firmly upholding their political stance, grasping the right political direction, strictly observing political discipline, strengthening political experience, and solidifying their theoretical foundation. They should keep in mind “the interests of the nation above all else,” bolster their “three political capacities,” and strive to become “hardcore cadres.” Second, they must cultivate a sense of awe, remain vigilant, and stay within the boundaries of what is acceptable. With a higher political perspective, they should recognize the importance of style-building, integrate self-discipline, integrity, and self-improvement into every aspect of their work and daily life, and dare to “draw swords” against any form of unhealthy practices. Third, they must adhere to bottom-line thinking, improve their professional skills, and continually enhance their ability and capacity to prevent and resolve risks. They must not only fight against the epidemic but also combat complacency and the mindset of “lying flat,” fully demonstrating the spirit of struggle. Fourth, they must fully embody the “nailing-down” spirit, closely following the working principle of “unity, stability, pragmatism, and seeking change,” and help the company maintain a safe and stable production environment, a conducive work environment for innovation and entrepreneurship, and a politically clean and upright atmosphere. Fifth, they must fully recognize the importance of unity, be adept at organically combining collective wisdom with individual wisdom, and integrating collective strength with individual strength. They must truly “understand unity” and “know how to unite,” fostering a positive atmosphere of solidarity, collaboration, and mutual support.
During the training, the Party and Mass Work Department, the Quality and Safety Department, the Central Operations Control Center, the Human Resources Department, and the Training Department successively conducted training sessions and exchanges for participants on five key topics: comprehensively enforcing strict Party governance and the roles of Party branches and members; safety service management; emergency rescue and duty management; human resource management for non-HR managers; and efficient training management. The sessions covered a wide range of topics—from the requirements and management of Party members and cadres, to the distinctive features of Party building in state-owned enterprises and the effective role played by Party members and cadres; from the overall status of safety services, including shortcomings and challenges in critical areas and key tasks, to detailed guidance on how to excel in human resource management, emergency rescue and duty management, and how to focus on crucial aspects of training management. The content of this training not only encompassed national and industry policies and regulations, as well as analyses of internal and external corporate situations and environments, but also included numerous practical case studies, seamlessly integrating theory with practice and ensuring strong relevance and applicability.
