To enhance the effectiveness of employee health and safety risk management and to improve employees’ knowledge and skills related to workplace health protection, as well as to ensure effective heat prevention and cooling measures for employees during hot weather, BGS recently organized summer training sessions on heat prevention and emergency response, tailored to actual training needs.
This training session featured An Tong, the shift supervisor at the Capital Airport Group’s Emergency Medical Rescue Center, as the instructor. The training was conducted online and was open to all employees of the company. The instructor provided a comprehensive and detailed explanation covering six key areas: typical case studies, characteristics of summer operations, conditions under which heatstroke may occur, symptoms of heatstroke and acute-phase management, heatstroke prevention measures, and emergency response plans. The content was rich and thorough, yet presented in a clear and easy-to-understand manner. Participants unanimously praised the training for its strong relevance, practicality, scientific rigor, and professional quality. They also commended the well-organized duration of the training and the exam questions, which closely reflected real-world job requirements. This training has enhanced employees’ awareness of heat-related health risks during high-temperature work, equipped them with the necessary knowledge and skills for heat prevention and emergency response when working in hot weather, and effectively met both general and job-specific training needs. The training received unanimous acclaim.
It is reported that hot weather will continue in the near future. BGS will persist in providing employees with practical tips on heat prevention and cooling through flexible training methods, thereby enhancing their awareness of safety precautions during high-temperature periods. This will ensure that everyone understands and masters basic safety knowledge for heat prevention and emergency response, and learns the correct methods for protection and first aid. In the event of heatstroke or other related conditions, employees will be able to administer timely first aid, improving their ability to handle such situations effectively and boosting the overall health and safety awareness as well as self-protection consciousness among all staff members.
